School Mental Health

The Consortium partners with schools across Texas by connecting students to direct mental health services, education, and expert support, referrals, and resources—at no cost to schools or students.

Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) - provides assessment, focused virtual services, and vetted individualized local referrals to preK-12th grade students with mental health needs identified by school counselors.

Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) - provides a five-session, evidence-based mental health education program to 8th-12th grade students in schools.

Through our interconnected, statewide programs and initiatives, the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium expands the knowledge, confidence, and capacity of clinicians, schools, and systems to care for children, youth, and perinatal women.
