About Us
Impact, Reports, & Legislative Initiatives
We are grateful for the continued trust and support of state lawmakers and agency collaborators.
The Consortium provides public reports, including biennial reports required for the Texas Legislature as well as evaluations and content highlighting program activities, outcomes, and improvements. These reports show how state investment in child mental health is being put into action across Texas.
Through transparent reporting and ongoing evaluation, the Consortium continues to assess the effectiveness of its programs and identify opportunities to strengthen mental health care access and outcomes across the state.
These reports highlight emerging needs, research, and trends, and they serve as a resource for policymakers, educators, clinicians, and community collaborators working to strengthen systems of care and early interventions for children and families. We invite you to explore these materials to learn more about our efforts and impact.

Legislative Initiatives
The Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium works with the Texas Legislature to strengthen mental health care for children, youth, and perinatal women across Texas. Created by the 86th Texas Legislature, TCMHCC implements legislative direction quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively, including:
- Senate Bill 11 (2019): Creation of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium
- House Bill 6: Expanded Telehealth/TCHATT School-Linked Mental Health Services
- House Bill 18: Rural Pediatric and Perinatal Mental Health Access
Through our interconnected statewide programs and initiatives, the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium expands the knowledge, confidence, and capacity of clinicians, schools, and systems to care for children, youth, and perinatal women in Texas while strengthening the state’s mental health workforce.
